Doosan Vina exports 1,560 tons of thermal power equipment to Indonesia

On June 14, Doosan Vietnam Heavy Industry Co., Ltd (Doosan Vina) shipped the first shipment weighing 1,560 tons of non-pressurized boiler equipment for projects of Jawa 9 and 10 thermal power plant in Indonesia.

Projects of Jawa 9 and 10, signed by Doosan Vina with Indonesian partners in December 2020, include manufacturing and supplying more than 36,000 tons of non-pressurized equipment including boiler structures, pipes, columns, coal storage system, desulfurization system and some other equipment installed for Jawa thermal power plant in Indonesia’s Banten province.

Projects of Jawa 9 and 10 thermal power plant include two units, each with a capacity of 1,000 MW, led by partners PT HutamaKarya and Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction as the EPC general contractor. The project has a total investment of up to 3.2 billion USD, built in the industrial city of Cilegon, on the west coast of Java island, 120 km from Indonesia’s Jakarta.


Doosan Vina exports 1,560 tons of thermal power equipment to Indonesia

The equipment is transferred to the ship for export to Indonesia.

According to Mr. Seo Deog Won, MHS Plant Manager of Doosan Vina, this is the first time Doosan Vina has manufactured equipment for a large-capacity, environmentally friendly thermal power plant using ultra-supercritical technology with extremely high steam pressure, high power generation efficiency, low fuel consumption and low greenhouse gas emissions.

Since receiving the contract, Doosan Vina has planned production, met the strict requirements of customers as well as ensured product quality and delivery schedule.

With a volume of 36,000 tons, the project is carried out over three years, expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
