On August 7, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly decided to allow the Government to apply a number of contents other than the current law in the group of urgent solutions to prevent and control Covid-19 .

 Considering the right to empower the Government to be more proactive in epidemic prevention and control National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue has just signed a decision on behalf of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to allow the Government to issue a Decision that has a number of contents different from the provisions of the law to meet the requirements of Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control. The resolution was born after the output meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee yesterday afternoon (August 6). Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee agreed with the Government's proposals on the promulgation of the Government's Resolution to implement urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic according to Resolution No. 30/2021/ QH15 dated July 28, 2021 of the 15th National Assembly.

Specifically, the Government's Resolution will allow the establishment of a facility to collect and treat people infected with Covid-19 as well as an operation license. The Ministry of Health was assigned to prescribe administrative procedures in the circular according to simplified procedures to meet the urgent requirements of epidemic prevention and control. Along with that, the Standing Committee of the People's Council is assigned to decide on issues within the competence of the People's Council and report to the People's Council at the nearest meeting. For the proposal to stipulate the payment of medical examination and treatment costs for Covid-19 patients at Covid-19 collection and treatment facilities (including expenses for treatment of other diseases during Covid-19 treatment- 19) because the state budget is guaranteed according to actual costs, the Government continues to direct the implementation in the direction that the state budget is responsible for paying all costs of medical examination and treatment directly related to treatment Covid-19.

 In particular, for patients with Covid-19 who have other diseases, the payment of medical examination and treatment expenses for these diseases must comply with the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, the Law on Medical Insurance. and other relevant laws and regulations. Resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly takes effect from August 6, 2021.
